#5 in Chief Inspector Gamache Series

Since I read the first Chief Inspector Gamache novel, I’ve been wondering when one of our friends in Three Pines would be in the crosshairs. We’ve come close in the previous four books, but for the first time, its more than a momentary suspicion – for most of this novel, I tired to convince myself that all the signs weren’t pointing at Olivier.

Louise Penny, as always, gave us an intriguing, surprising mystery to chew on while we learn more about Gamache, Beauvoir, Lacoste, and the rest of the crew in Three Pines.
