Listen to Me by Hannah Pittard

Rating – 3 stars

Date Finished – January 9, 2017

5/120 in 2017

This little novel is really a character study with very little plot – or at least that’s what it was for 180 of its 200 pages. Unfortunately, the biggest plot twist happens in the last 20-30 pages, and I actually would have liked the book better if it had been a portrait of a marriage all the way through. Instead, the action at the end provides a “solution” to all the complicated bits of Mark and Maggie’s marriage that the rest of the book lays out, and the result is disappointing.
